At Groworld we develop biodegradeble growing media for greenhouses especially aimed for growing vegetables and fruits. We develop substrates as growing mats, for pots and for troughs Groworld growing mats can be used in the same cultivation regimes as rock wool, mineral wool or coconut substrates.
Our growing media has been tested through several tests and has been compared with rock wool, mineral wool and coconut subtrates. Groworld has revealed good results on parameters such as roots, size of fruit, taste, harvest and more. Our products shows either better results or results at the same level as other growing media.
The production of wood fibers is carbon neutral and made from FSC and PEFC certified forests, so it is customized for the circular bioeconomy. Our products are based on sustainable and natural wood fibers and their production is close to carbon neutral because the energy that is generated originates from residual products.

Our growing media are used for production of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers in greenhouses. We are though planing on developing more growing media for other cultures.
Therefore our products are both sustainable and climate friendly alternatives to existing growing media on market.
Groworld was founded in 2020 – The idea originates from practical experience and knowledge which the founder Gert Larsen has been collecting through 50 years of growing different kinds of horticultures.
Gert Larsen has previously received the innovative price from Agro business park for developing a growing substrate based on pumice stone which can be used for several growing seasons.
On the current stage our growing media are going through development and are tested in several nurseries.
